Reading
This site uses high-contrast text, scalable type, generous spacing, a light-only surface, and no essential information embedded only in colour. Use the Larger text control in the header to increase the base text size. Browser zoom remains fully supported.
Navigation
Pages use semantic headings, skip links, keyboard-accessible controls, visible focus states, conventional links, descriptive labels, and non-spatial alternatives. No public reader requires an account.
Motion
Motion is limited to short entry transitions that communicate focus. There is no perpetual decorative animation. Reduced-motion preferences disable the transitions without removing information.
Participation without technology
A Garden can begin through conversation, paper, print, a walk-through, objects, photographs, assisted review, or a trusted intermediary. The participant does not need to operate the archive or learn specialist terminology.
Human support
Accessibility requirements should be named at the beginning of a Garden and revisited as the work changes. Contact hello@thegarden.institute to request a printed, large-text, plain-language, or assisted version of any public material.
